DWK Life Sciences increases glass vial production capacity to meet increased market demand

Best-in-class automation, robotics and touchless production lines that provide the cleanliness required for parenteral packaging containers

DWK Life Sciences has announced the expansion and modernisation of its glass vial production facility in Rockwood, TN to meet the increased borosilicate glass vial market demand for vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics. The company combined new equipment installations with significant improvements to existing equipment to more than double production capacity.

With a substantial capital investment into the facility, DWK Life Sciences now operates fully automated production lines and a centralised Class 8 certified clean room. DWK Life Sciences has solidified its position as one of the world’s leading producer of precision glassware for primary packaging containers, addressing the demand for pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic applications.

Specific upgrades to the manufacturing capabilities include the addition of new automated tube loaders with vertical loading capabilities. Using state-of-the-art, automated manufacturing processes and Class 8 Clean Room robotic packing, tubular glass vials and tubes are produced in our ISO 9001 certified facility, operated under AQL methods of inspection. The DWK Life Sciences plant enhancements, at its Rockwood, TN facility, is delivering increased production output, both in product quantity and quality.
