Easy way to limit powder overspill

Published: 1-Oct-2005

Endress+Hauser's new Soliphant M level limit switch for fine-grained or powdery solids works in hazardous areas and has a self-checking facility for easy monitoring.

Available as a compact, extension tube or cable version, the level switch provides reliable level measurement from 145mm to 20m in solids applications.

A special feature is its integrated self-checking function, which allows the user to monitor the whole system without having to climb to the top of the silo. The self-check also eliminates environmental concerns as, at the push of a button on the bottom of the silo, overspills such as blowing dust into the atmosphere can be easily prevented.

Operating using the vibrating fork principle and with no mechanically moving parts, the level switch is virtually maintenance-free. Furthermore, it is not affected by external vibrations or build-up, giving it an even longer service life.
