Farmark International has completed the construction of a new sterile medicines production facility in Barberà del Vallès, Barcelona.
This follows the Ukrainian pharmaceutical company's global expansion, which aims to enhance its reach in the sterile generic category.
To complete this build, Farmak Internatiaonal partered with Telstar, who assisted in the design, engineering and construction of the facility.
The Barcelona facility is positioned on a 2,500m2 plot of land, with advanced production floors, R&D labs and warehouse space designed to facilitate the site's automation and scaling in the next few years.
Additionally, the production site is equipped with specialised air handling units and HVAC systems to ensure the environment is suitable for pharmaceutical production.
Cold storage space has also been allocated for finished products, while there are dedicated locations for as well as logistics, packaging and analytics.
Viktor Kostiuk, CEO of Farmak International, echoed this feeling: "The exceptional work delivered by our partner Telstar fully met our expectations, completing the project on time and helping us achieve a significant milestone in our international growth strategy."
"We are incredibly proud of the transformation achieved in this project," said Rafael Beaus, Global Consultancy & Engineering Sales Manager from Telstar. "Converting an older logistics centre into a pharmaceutical production site within just one year is the proof of the excellent collaboration achieved between Telstar and Farmak teams, a must to reach such success."
