Fred Baker's growing culture media role

Biotrace Fred Baker, of Runcorn in the UK, has completed the expansion of its production facilities for prepared culture media for environmental monitoring in the pharmaceutical industry. A newly expanded purpose-built cold room is now available to allow the finished product to be stored in refrigerated conditions and held in quarantine pending completion of QC testing. The expansion project also included a state-of-the-art cleanroom.

Manufacture is carried out in facilities that meet all current GMP standards and the company is certified to the Phamaceutical Suppliers Code of Practice (PSCOP) standard. Finished product is shipped to the irradiation source in the company's monitored, temperature-controlled vehicles and stored in a dedicated on-site cold room to ensure environmental conditions are controlled and traceable throughout.
