Gattefossé inaugurates Mediterranean affiliate
Allows group to consolidate its presence in North Africa and the Middle East by marketing its products to customers directly, offering technical support and expertise
On 18 May, Jacques Moyrand, Gattefossé Group Chairman, Olivier Midler, CEO, and Fayçal El Aouni, Gattefossé Mediterranean Director, will inaugurate Gattefossé Mediterranean, the latest in the group's line of sales and technical affiliates.
The offices are located in the Berges du Lac II business district, near Tunis. They are a demonstration of Gattefossé’s desire to be firmly anchored in the Arab world and pursue its international expansion, as well as the overall strengthening of the Gattefossé Group's global presence.
The building, named Les Emeraudes, accommodates a team of two pharmaceutical and cosmetics technical sales representatives, a pharmaceutical technical support specialist and a sales assistant, reporting to the Director of Gattefossé Mediterranean.
All the countries in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) have experienced strong demographic growth during the last 40 years. As of 2016, their combined population has risen to nearly 400 million people.
In spite of the complex political situation, the annual growth of these countries is around 4% and forecasts for the years to come continue to be encouraging. Gattefossé chose to set up its 13th affiliate, Gattefossé Mediterranean, in Tunisia because of its advantageous location close to the headquarters and its application laboratories as well as its geographical situation in the Arab world.
This new facility will help to strengthen Gattefossé's influence in the region and grow its business in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Lebanon.
Long-lasting partnerships have been made with eight agents and distributors. This should ensure effective coverage of the region thanks to the close relationships they have established with pharmaceutical and cosmetics laboratories based in the region.
‘For me, as I lead this new Gattefossé Group affiliate into the future, every request matters and every customer is important. Our customers' satisfaction is how we measure the sustainability of our business and we make a point of always giving them a prompt and pertinent response. In our Tunisian organisation, our sales representatives divide their energies between fostering the loyalty of our existing customers and growing our network of prospective customers by forging ties for the long-term,’ said Fayçal El Aouni, Gattefossé Mediterranean Director.
