Isopak introduces automatic press

UK-based equipment supplier Isopak has introduced a single punch automatic tablet press machine into the UK. The compact CPR-6 is said to be one of the smallest bench-top units on the market with a capacity that makes it ideal for small batch runs. The machine, which is manufactured in Italy by Dott Bonapace, is aimed at laboratories, pharmacies and hospitals needing an automatic tablet press.

The CPR-6 is constructed from stainless steel and is easy to clean and operate. The unit is built in two totally separate parts - a compressing area protected by security panels, and a mechanical area. It has an output of up to 2500 tablets per hour and can exercise a compression force of 2.5 tons. Tablets with a maximum diameter of 16mm filled to a depth of 17mm can be produced, at variable speed settings.
