Jaycare expands pharma pack manufacturing site

Jaycare, a UK-based manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets, has acquired additional 80,000 sq ft of new manufacturing space.


Jaycare, a UK-based manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets, has acquired additional 80,000 sq ft of new manufacturing space.

The company has its headquarters and manufacturing facility, including Class 10,000 Clean Room built in Newcastle upon Tyne.The new factory will be dedicated to blow moulding, replacing the existing 25, 000 sq ft old and cramped facility.

The company says it will provide sufficient additional production space to meet already determined demand. The first of a number of new Bekum extrusion blow molding machines is already installed and operating at full capacity and orders have been placed for a number of automated downstream handling systems.

The facility will provide several new technical and operational jobs on the site.
