Kåre Schultz appointed as President and CEO of Lundbeck

He joins the company on 20 May 2015

Kåre Schultz will become the new President and CEO of Danish pharmaceutical company Lundbeck on 20 May. He has been President and COO of Novo Nordisk since January 2014. He joined Novo Nordisk in 1989.

Schultz is Chairman of Royal Unibrew and a member of the board of LEGO, both in Denmark.

He said: 'Lundbeck stands out in the industry as a company focused on brain diseases. I’m motivated and inspired by Lundbeck’s vision and excited to bring my business background to lead Lundbeck to the next phase of its development.

'Lundbeck is going through challenging times and I look forward to working with everyone at Lundbeck to build a strong future for our patients, shareholders and employees.'
