Deal will create one of the largest pharma carton suppliers in the Benelux region

Major European pharmaceutical folding carton producer LGR Emballages has acquired a majority share in Belgian company Goldprint, which specializes in the manufacture of folding cartons and leaflets for the pharma sector.

Goldprint, with an annual turnover of b11m, has a modern facility near Brussels and is said to be one of the first European converters to have a digital capacity, placing it among the top players in terms of pharma GMP practices and efficiency.

The LGR Emballages Group is one of the main European pharmaceutical folding carton producers with a turnover of €120m, 650 employees and nine sites in France, Belgium and Spain, of which seven are dedicated to healthcare packaging.

The combination of the two Belgian folding carton and leaflet producers owned by LGR and Goldprint will create one of the largest suppliers in the Benelux region for these products. Although both companies will remain as two separate entities, retaining their existing management, they will co-operate actively together with the objective of creating more value, especially for the main purchasing sites locally.
