A new range of continuous motion blister packers developed by Korean-based company Hoonga, has been launched for the UK pharmaceutical market.
Distributed through Logic TPS, the HM400R blister packer features servo control technology and is fully compliant with all international quality and regulatory standards.
The equipment combines simplicity of design with ease of operation, reliability and a fast and easy changeover time of only 20-30 minutes, making short batches and Just-in-Time production more cost-effective than ever before.
"We are aware that customers are always looking for ways to save on production costs and having benchmarked the HM400R against comparable models, we have full confidence in its ability to meet this requirement," said Logic TPS managing director Keith Gooch. "High output using minimal floor space becomes a reality with the HM400R due to its compact design and balcony style GMP construction, while the introduction of servo control technology provides improved overall equipment effectiveness due to features such as self adjusting indexing, convenient format change over and laser pocket alignment for maximum accuracy.
"In addition, it meets specific user requirements, such as menu based settings, low cost tooling and modern connection with IPC for remote operation/support management."
Dual lane operation means that the HM400R can achieve 200 cycles/400 blisters per minute and its flexible outfeed module, which can be set for front, back or side exit, allows the machine to be configured to fit any existing floor space.
With a fully-enclosed feeding zone, the machine is ideal for the packaging of high potency products. First class results across a wide range of substrates are achieved by a separate coding/emboss/perforation station, which allows users to adjust temperature to suit the individual requirements of every base and lidding material combination.
The HM400R blister packaging machine is fully CE compliant and has a base price of Euro 200,000 plus options, with availability of three months.
