On the occasion of Interpack 2026, Marchesini Group Pharma Business Unit presented, in a restricted-access area, the new ORBITA-L. This is a filling and capping machine for non-injectable liquid products, capable of efficiently handling the transport, dosing and capping of bottles with a high level of precision, while minimizing the need for format change parts. Its modular design ensures excellent adaptability to different production requirements, combining the advantages of an intermittent-motion machine with the flexibility and speed of an innovative magnetic transport system.
For the dosing phase, different systems can be integrated, including mass flow meters, volumetric systems or peristaltic pumps. In more complex applications, it is also possible to install two different dosing systems. The feeding and dosing unit is designed to be fully integrated with CIP/SIP systems without the need for manual intervention by the operator. The modularity of the ORBITA-L allows the simultaneous installation of up to three capping stations with different technologies.

At the trade fair, the machine was showcased with a single capping head designed for high-pressure snap-on pump closures, featuring a servo-driven dip tube tightening unit. Finally, a Sea Vision inspection system can be installed in different areas of the machine to ensure maximum product quality.
Key strengths of the ORBITA-L:
- Modularity: the system can be configured in different lengths, allowing easy adaptation based on the number of capping stations.
- Reduced format changeover time: the machine can handle a wide range of bottles, automatically adapting to different diameters thanks to grippers installed on the magnetic conveyors. This technology is patented by Marchesini Group.
- 100% weight control at maximum speed to ensure precise quality control during the dosing process.
- Advanced capping head, designed to effectively manage all types of closures with servo-assisted movement, continuous torque control and reliable handling of spray closures using a servo-driven system for dip tube straightening.
