Movianto UK expands cold chain and controlled drugs storage
Doubles cold storage capacity to 4,500 pallet spaces
Financial details have not been revealed, but the company, which has eight depots across the UK, says it has doubled its cold storage capacity to 4,500 pallet spaces in time for the procurement period as stocking starts in the late summer.
Movianto has also installed a temperature-controlled loading, unloading and packing facility.
In addition the company says it has more than doubled its narcotics storage in Bedford, which allows it to transport the drugs safely throughout mainland UK.
Movianto has added new manufacturing services, including the kitting, relabelling and repackaging of medications.
Russell Atkinson, Movianto’s managing director, said: ‘Our continued investment in the UK demonstrates our commitment to the market and our understanding of the future needs of the industry.’
