Pharmaceutical labelling specialist Newman Labelling Systems has launched the S350, designed to operate 24/7 at a true production rate of up to 300 containers/minute.
The fully automatic, versatile labelling system is designed for the application of both paper and clear plastic labels to cylindrical products in glass, plastic, metal and composite materials.
Containers are transported along a conveyor, then spaced and accelerated using a specifically designed scroll feed system just prior to labelling. Both label and container size changes can be rapidly achieved without the use of tools, and digital scales provide repeatable container changeover in minutes.
A compact cGMP design, manufactured in stainless steel 304 finish, the S350 comes with a range of features as standard, such as "Auto-teach" label length facility, a positive accept security system and In Process Control.
The S350 is available with a range of optional equipment, including printout facility, Vision System for OCV/OCR, continuous label supply via the Easisplice 470 unit, queue switch control, rotary infeed and outfeed tables and a choice of thermal transfer, laser, inkjet or hot foil for overprint coding.
The latest databus technology has been utilised within the machine, so as to simplify the integration of security and ancillary devices.
