AxFlow of Dublin, Ireland, a division of the fluid handling equipment specialist AxFlow Group, has acquired liquids handling supplier Combiflow based in Ballymount, Dublin, becoming the largest distributor of positive displacement pumps and fluid handling systems in Ireland.

The AxFlow product portfolio now includes Mono pumps, Waukesha Cherry Burrell, Bran + Luebbe, ITT Jabsco, Wilden, Almatec, Johnson Pump, Flux, Global, Mouvex, Piab and Blackmer.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, gives AxFlow Ireland full services facilities in both Dublin plants, together with additional facilities in Cork and Belfast.

AxFlow Ireland managing director Stuart Flood said: "By bringing the two companies together we shall be able to provide all sectors of industry throughout Ireland with a wider product offering, enhanced customer care and service levels, and access to the AxFlow Group's considerable international resources."

Combiflow was established in 1988 and has a base with product stocks and workshop facilities in Ballymount.

AxFlow Ireland was established in 2000 when it took over the Mono Pumps operation in Dublin.

"AxFlow Ireland's strengths lie in its capability to offer one-off pumps for specific applications alongside engineering design, installation and commissioning of integrated fluid handling systems," added Flood.
