Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics in the US has added Sani-Tech Ultra platinum-cured silicone tubing to its portfolio, which meets the stringent requirements of biopharmaceutical processes while delivering improved performance.

Sani-Tech Ultra formulations are manufactured and packaged in a certified cleanroom from the finest silicone materials to ensure the highest sanitary standards are met.

The company says ultra-low TOCs virtually eliminate the potential for contamination by extractables during use and Sani-Tech Ultra imparts neither taste nor odours to materials that pass through it.

The products are fully characterised, validated and tested to USP Class VI, ISO 10993 and EP 3.1.9 specifications. They also have an excellent peristaltic pump tubing life and in a controlled test against three competitors, Sani-Tech Ultra lasted from 20% longer to twice as long as other tubing products.

Other features include excellent flexibility and laser etching for lot traceability plus non-yellowing properties.

Sani-Tech Ultra is fully autoclavable and sterilisable, and accommodates temperatures from -62ºC to 260ºC. It is available in 50 and 65 durometers and 91 different ID/OD combinations.

Available options include bulk spool packaging and pre-delivery gamma irradiation.

Custom sizes, lengths, durometers and laylines are also offered.
