A world-leading pharmaceutical service provider has strengthened its executive team and has bade farewell to a long-serving member of the leadership team.
Paul Garofolo joins Patheon as senior vice president and chief information officer, and will assume responsibilities for the company's lean six sigma excellence programme - The Patheon Advantage. He has a track record of developing and stewarding long-term global IT strategies. Also appointed is chief financial officer Patheon, whose responsibilities cover the management of the company's financial function. He will work with the company's president and chief executive officer Wes Wheeler to provide strategic and operational improvements in the business.
Warren A. Horton brings to his vice presidency of global quality operations over 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His colleague Doaa A. Fathallah joins as the new senior vice president of the General Counsel Europe and Global Pharmaceutical Development Services. Meanwhile, John H. Bell ends his tenure as chief financial officer to pursue new opportunities. Wheeler said the company owed him a "great deal for his stewardship of our finance organisation through a difficult period at Patheon."
