A team of four employees from Movianto UK in Bedford, a subsidiary of the Movianto Group, which is part of the logistics and distribution business unit of Celesio AG, competed and won in The Great Lakeland Challenge held in the Lake District.

The challenge was in aid of the Wooden Spoon Society, which raises money to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK and Ireland.

The contestants canoed 10.5 miles across Lake Windermere, cycled through Hardknott and Wrynose and climbed England's highest peak - Scafell in seven hours 53 minutes against a 12-hour time limit.

The team consisted of three athletes, Nic Ocean, Carl Lane, Terry Thorpe and support driver Ms Vic Royle.

The Wooden Spoon Society has, so far, invested more than £12m in approximately 150 projects benefiting 300,000 children, young people and their families.
