UK-based Partners in Packaging (PiP) is showing a number of new machines from Etipack, one of Europe's largest manufacturers of print and apply labelling systems for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.

Etipack's System 1 for cylindrical bottles and jars will be demonstrated applying a self-adhesive label to a round pharmaceutical bottle. Capable of handling products from 18mm diameter up to 80mm diameter at speeds of up to 300/min the System 1 offers high levels of reliability and accuracy.

PiP are also launching the new Eclipse intermittent end load cartoner at the show from US-based cartoning and product handling specialist MGS Machine Corporation, aimed specifically at the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Designed with a 'walk-in' design for total access for cleandown and maintenance, the Eclipse has a large carton size range and a compact footprint.

With tool-less changeovers for ease of size changing, the Eclipse is capable of speeds up to 90 cartons/min and conforms to cGMP standards. The Eclipse comes with a full range of feeding systems for ampoules, vials, syringes, bottles, transdermals and tubes. 'This is an exciting new offering to the UK market from a very experienced and capable system supplier', said Duncan Macintyre, PiP's joint managing director.
