Pretium Packaging, a leading North American manufacturer of plastic containers and closures, has announced that Mark Howell has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Howell brings to the company more than 20 years of packaging sales and business development experience, supported by a mechanical engineering background. He will be reporting to Paul Kayser, president and chief executive officer.
"Mark’s successful track record in growing plastic and glass packaging businesses make him ideally suited to head Pretium's sales and marketing efforts. His strong background in strategy, team building, innovation and customer satisfaction will be a great asset in delivering additional value to Pretium’s customers via new market-driven packaging solutions," said Kayser.
Prior to joining Pretium, Howell was senior vice president of sales—primary glass for Gerresheimer. There, he led sales efforts for the America's tubular converting and moulded glass divisions. For a significant portion of his career, he held various sales, plant management and engineering positons with Rexam Healthcare (now Nemera), a leading provider of pharmaceutical packaging.
Howell has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the Cork Institute of Technology, Cork, Ireland and a Master’s Degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
