Kirkhouse Trust - a UK-based charity focused on improving research in biological and medical science in the developing world - has sourced a fully operational, three-year old Compact 40 laboratory autoclave for the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bangalore, India.

The equipment is to be used to sterilise waste generated by the university's research programmes.

Mindful that it had to function well and safely, Kirkhouse Trust approached the manufacturer, Priorclave, for advice on service and maintenance prior to shipment.

Priorclave recalled the unit to its Woolwich manufacturing facility where it was refurbished and given an operational test free of charge. Appropriate technical data and a service manual were also supplied to assist in maintenance of the efficiency, safety and performance expectations.
