Research from one of the UK's popular cough and cold remedy brands claims a tenth of the UK's men are avid daytime TV watchers when off sick from work.

According to a study by the makers of Lemsip Max All In One (AIO) Lemon, a tenth of men surveyed in the study make a point of tuning into watch such programmes as "Loose Women" Hollyoaks and Deal or No Deal, when off work sick.

The study also highlights that a fifth of people still manage to have a night out but cannot make it into work.

Other past times include cleaning the house and DIY for about 10% of cold and flu sufferers. The survey also identifies that 12% of the 1,017 respondents surveyed by TNS, got confused when taking medicines and lost track of when to take their next dose.
