Italy's Marchesini Group provides packaging machinery for liquids, solids and creams.

Its stand will feature the Neri BL600 linear labeller, the Vasquali FTC12 electronic counting machine for tablets, coated tablets, hard and soft capsules and the MB430 blister line.

A new product, Robovision, is touted for use in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Robovision is a 4-axis robot with carbon limbs and an integrated viewing system, and its software and design was developed by Marchesini. Developed to pick up loose items from a belt and feed them to the cartoner with continuous motion, Robovision can perform up to 100 pick ups per minute.

If the robot deliberately or accidentally does not pick up the product, this can be rejected at the end of the belt, before reaching the carton conveyor.

The FTC12 counter, which counts 300,000 tablets/hour, features industrial PC memory, allowing a 'virtually infinite' number of recipes, retrieved by typing in the corresponding code.
