Sade tablet sorters reach a global market

Sade tablet/capsule weight sorters from CI Electronics, of Salisbury in the UK, are finding new markets outside Europe and the US: the past year has seen a number of units exported to pharmaceutical companies based in Brazil, Singapore, Tunisia, India and Barbados.

The Sade is able to handle tablets and capsules in an almost infinite variety of shapes and sizes.

It separates acceptable product from rejects for clinical trial batches in r&d departments, and recovers good product from rejected batches in production areas.

Designed for 24-hour operation with long periods of unattended sorting, the Sade is easy to set up and use. It is robust, requires minimum maintenance, and according to CI Electronics, provides rapid pay-back on initial investment, 'typically within a matter of months'.

Data from batches sorted can be stored and analysed with WinSort II, a secure data program developed by CI. Currently, Sade units are offered with one or two weighing channels, as well as a compact benchtop model, designed for use in laboratories.
