Specialist in desiccant closure systems Sanner will show a new flip-top closure aimed at effervescent tablet products at Pharmapack being held in Paris, France, 13–14 February.
The most important aspect of effervescent tablet packaging for consumers is quick and easy removal from the container. ‘Senior citizens and people with impaired motor skills often struggle to open market-standard lids on effervescent tablet packaging,’ says Dr Sabine Moter, Head of Innovation and Product Management at Sanner. ‘Our new flip-top closure FOSG 27 addresses this problem – and introduces a new and more user-friendly generation of effervescent tablet packaging.’ The new, hinged flip-top closure can be operated with one hand. An ergonomically designed thumb tab ensures that the lid can be painlessly opened with less effort.
The desiccant is integrated directly into the cap and the closure remains attached to the tube which promotes intuitive reclosing. A clearly visible tamper-evident strip shows at a glance if the pack has been opened.
Sanner will also present the 360° Capsule with integrated desiccant for all-round moisture protection, even when lying on the cardboard side after the container is filled. It will in addition show new test strip packaging products and on-the-move tablet packaging.
