Mark discusses how it is now more important than ever that businesses, in the context of the energy crisis, drive towards sustainability to drive down energy bills
First look: Schneider Electric Cobot
At PPMA 2022, Schneider Electric will be exhibiting its Cobot technology in the UK for the first time. The technology’s introduction into Schneider Electric’s portfolio of automated software- and hardware-driven solutions signifies a move towards the next generation of industrial automation, Industry 4.0. Demos will be running on the Schneider Electric booth, offering event attendees the chance to see the technology in action and discover from experts how the technology can drive value for businesses, including machine builders, integrators, distributors, and end customers.
The industrial business environment is undergoing a massive transformation from one of demand constraints to one of supply constraints. Raw materials and labour are in short supply, so businesses must quickly adapt to the changing market conditions to operate with fewer staff and lower budgets.
Industry is evolving at a rapid pace, but we believe with this technology, we are innovating at a speed that is ahead of the wider industry, working with businesses to achieve maximum efficiency, profitability and sustainability
Schneider Electric’s Cobot technology is optimised to work alongside people through an advanced level of active safety systems, unlike traditional industrial robot systems that operate at a level of power and speed that is unsuitable for people. Additionally, cobots can easily be retrofitted into existing lines, reducing the amount of time and capital spent on installation.
Mark Yeeles, VP Industrial Automation, Schneider Electric, said: “We are incredibly excited to be demonstrating our Cobot technology in the UK for the first time, and there is no better place than at PPMA to be doing it. Industry is evolving at a rapid pace, but we believe with this technology, we are innovating at a speed that is ahead of the wider industry, working with businesses to achieve maximum efficiency, profitability and sustainability.
“I look forward to getting hands-on with the technology and showcasing how it is going to help drive the industry towards the next generation of industrial automation.”
To complete the portfolio of sustainable industrial automation solutions, Schneider Electric will also showcase its full stack of EcoStruxure solutions, including EcoStruxure Automation Expert and EcoStruxure Machine at PPMA 2022.
