Siegfried acquires German biotech company
Zofingen-based pharmaceutical company Siegfried has acquired a 75% stake in the German biotechnology company Alpha Bioverfahrenstechnik with an option to acquire the remaining 25%. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Zofingen-based pharmaceutical company Siegfried has acquired a 75% stake in the German biotechnology company Alpha Bioverfahrenstechnik with an option to acquire the remaining 25%. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Alpha Bioverfahrenstechnik, founded in 1996, is located in Kleinmachnow, between Potsdam and Berlin, and employs 22 people. It offers services for the process development and manufacture of active biopharmaceutical ingredients from its GMP technical facilities.
In 2001 Siegfried successfully completed its first biotechnology project, and the acquisition of Alpha Bioverfahrenstecknik reinforces the company's position in the biotech market.
