Swagelok opens India technology centre

Centre will provide product assembly, technical service, training and development to customers


Fluid system solutions specialist Swagelok has opened a new technology centre in Pune, India.

The Swagelok India Technology Center, a division of Bombay Fluid System Components, will be operated by Swagelok and will provide product assembly services, technical service, education, training and development directly to customers in the region. It is the company’s fifth technology centre worldwide; the others are in the US, Japan, China and Switzerland.

India represents a growing region for Swagelok, where the company has two authorised sales and service centres that serve a diverse number of industries. ‘The India Technology Center is designed to enhance our local assembly and service capabilities,’ said Arthur F. Anton, Swagelok president and ceo.

The centre will offer more complex assemblies, full CAD capabilities, welding services, including orbital welding and weld inspection services, third-party inspection and processing services, compliance support, custom product configuration, leak testing and tube bending.
