Tailored air control for laboratories

Published: 1-Oct-2005

A new variable air volume system has been specifically created by air movement specialist Trox (UK) to maximise safety, improve ease-of-use and generate cost savings in laboratories.

The unit incorporates options for volume flow air regulation of fume cupboards, as well as room supply and extraction, rapidly compensating for continual changes in laboratory conditions. A sophisticated communication system also allows for the precise and safe control and discharge of contaminated air.

Labcontrol for fume cupboards incorporates closed loop control, ensuring the system remains responsive and reliable. Each unit is supplied complete with all necessary components, including fume cupboard mounted velocity sensor, operator's terminal panel, integral control unit (analogue or digital), and a fast response damper actuator.

Where tailored systems are required to match specific design criteria, Trox is able to advise and supply the correct control components for the comfort of the occupants. In instances where corrosive substances are used, it can also provide a full range of suitable component materials.
