Tepnel Scientific Services will launch two pharmaceutical outsourcing solutions at Pabord 2006: disinfectant testing and ion chromatography. The new services are aimed at the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, and disinfectant manufacturers.
The new disinfectant service will support customers" validation and in-house testing requirements, enabling internal resources to better focus on core business activities, Tepnel claims. Using the European Committee of Normalisation method 1216 as a guideline, Tepnel will work with clients to maximise validation outcomes and product potential for bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and tuberculocidal labels, demonstrating an effective programme to the MHRA and FDA.
Ion chromatography will enhance Tepnel's capabilities in bio-analysis. It will provide a new service for the analysis of anions and cations in clinical samples, including whole blood, plasma, serum, solid tissue and tissue culture media, cell lysates, urine and other fluids.
The Tepnel lab has a 25-year history of GLP registration, and is well positioned for the provision of scientific solutions to industry in method development and validation as well as cost effective high throughput regulatory studies.
Using ion chromatography the lab is expected to offer the detection and quantification of anions such as phosphate, halide and sulphate, and cations such as sodium, potassium, calcium, in addition to ammonium salts and amino acids.
