Under observation

A cost-effective alternative to opening a container to observe the contents or check fluid levels is now available from humidity control and moisture measurement specialist Brownell of London.

The company has introduced a range of observation windows, consisting of glass panels that can be mounted into a housing with a wall thickness of up to 6mm or screwed into a threaded bush using a mounting threat.

Made from non-corrosive construction materials, the observation windows are suitable for use in applications using aggressive and harmful materials. The glass windows have a high tolerance to impact damage and can be used at pressures up to 10bar. They are leak-tested for gas-tight applications and the glass can be easily replaced if broken. The mounting flange has a flat face area suitable for indelibly printing information or instructions associated with the particular application, says Brownell.
