Weyfringe labellers pass the test tube test
Weyfringe Labelling Systems, of Redcar in the UK, has launched two machines to meet the increasing demand for automated test tube and sample bottle labelling. Suitable for use in hospital, research and commercial laboratories, the labellers can help eradicate test tube mix-ups and protect sample integrity.
The DB2 test tube labeller is capable of accepting automatically fed tubes for labelling and can out-feed labelled tubes for collection in a hopper. Information including barcodes, graphics and text, including date & time, can be printed in batch sizes from 1 to 10,000.
Also available is a semi-automatic version for smaller volume use. In this case the tube is inserted and removed manually with the label being printed and applied automatically to ensure high levels of legibility and presentation.
Both versions are available to run with or without a PC and can be linked to a barcode reader or optical recognition system to ensure that test tubes are correctly labelled and data stored for recall as needed. If required, data to be printed can come from existing database records for maximum security.
