The new PLS Organic Synthesiser from Activotec, of Cambridge in the UK, provides an easy-to-use and affordable tool for parallel solution and solid phase chemistry, the company says.
Accommodating glass solution phase and Teflon solid phase reactors from 1ml to 50ml, the PLS Organic Synthesiser is suitable for fast lead generation, reaction optimisation, accelerating process development and combinatorial catalysis.
Simple to set up and use, the tool can perform up to 24 reactions simultaneously and offers parallel washing and cleavage options to further enhance productivity.
Powerful, variable-speed vortex mixing enables the system to cope effectively with almost any reaction medium. Designed for individual chemists to use in their own fume cupboards, it can be adapted to operate at elevated (up to 150°C) or sub-ambient temperatures (-80°C).
The device has been manufactured from materials chosen for their robustness and chemical resistivity for long-term reliability.
