David Tredinnick, vice president Southeast Asia for Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific, will move to Dubai and replaces Mitra as president of Emerson Process Management Middle East. Meanwhile, Gene Shanahan, group vice president for the Emerson Process Management Flow Group, announced his retirement at the beginning of October. Larry Flatt will replace Shanahan.

"Emerson Process Management has the strongest management team in our industry, and I am confident that these new assignments and responsibilities will continue to provide a solid foundation of leadership for future growth," Berra said.

Meanwhile, Les Hastings has been appointed as senior project manager at Emerson's Irish office in Cork. Hastings joins the recently formed International Projects group with responsibility to support customers through the concept and execution phases of large global projects across the life science industry.

"Les is ideally suited to this challenging role with his wealth of project management experience, customer focused style and industry expertise," said Steve Holland, director of international project operations for Emerson Process Management. "International Project Managers are primarily selected to engage with potential customers at an early stage in the project lifecycle. This mitigates risk and ensures optimum project implementation strategies can be adopted much earlier in the process than traditionally seen."

Hastings joins Emerson from Rockwell Automation where he was formerly Automation Manager, Manufacturing and Process Solutions, with particular responsibility for customers in the life science industries.
