Allchem adds Nymcel disintegrants to portfolio

UK-based specialist chemicals group Allchem International has added the Nymcel sodium crosscarmellose range of disintegrants to its portfolio of fine chemicals for pharmaceutical manufacturers in the UK and Ireland.

Nymcel, manufactured by the Noviant Group, is a range of cellulosics specially modified to act as a superior disintegrant of tablets, which is said to react much faster than traditional products such as starch. Nymcel can be classified as a 'super disintegrant' and allows for the inclusion of lower concentrations, resulting in space savings for tablet size reduction.
