Malvern Instruments has promoted Alon Vaisman to application development manager Pharmaceuticals in the company's process systems team.
Working from Malvern's Westborough MA, office in the US, Vaisman will support pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide in developing and improving their process operations through the use of in-process particle characterisation systems. A key focus will be the delivery of Malvern's highly successful consultancy service, which supports the provision of tailored solutions for individual applications.
Alon joined Malvern in 2006 as project engineer and already works closely with many clients in the pharmaceutical sector. His experience here is a major benefit for customers in the pharmaceutical industry who choose to access Malvern's consultancy service. This provides them with the opportunity to assess the potential of continuous analysis with an expert-led, at-site trial. The trial generates data to justify the capital spend and ensures that any process-specific technical issues are solved up front, increasing project confidence. The proven success of the service within the pharmaceutical sector is testament to the value that it adds in this industry.
The pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest users of particle characterization technology and Malvern's approach to processing and process optimisation is expected to drive continued sales growth through 2008.
