UK solid dose generics manufacturer Alpharma has restructured its sales force.
Several new positions have been created including five key account executives. Eight pharmacy sales team territory managers will be made redundant, but they will be able to apply for one of the newly created positions or to accept voluntary redundancy.
Opportunities for growth have also been identified and addressed with the appointment of Cass Khan as hospital sales & marketing manager and the creation of a further vacancy for a hospitals national account manager.
Sara Vincent, Director of Sales & Marketing at Alpharma, said, 'We need to ensure we are in a position to meet the evolving requirements of our customers. As an organisation, therefore, we need to align our team more closely with our customers and bring a greater focus to our sales & marketing activities.'
