Amevive (alefacept) approved in Australia

Biogen Idec has had its product Amevive (alefacept) approved for sale in Australia.


Biogen Idec has had its product Amevive (alefacept) approved for sale in Australia.

Amevive will be marketed for treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe chronic plaque psoriasis who are candidates for phototherapy or systemic therapy.

Approved in the US last year, Amevive was the first biologic therapy approved for this application.
