The Quality Control facility features two completely enclosed weighing stations, housed in a glove box, with optimised facial air-flow to reduce perturbation on the scale and dusting effect. It also includes containment for disposal of wastes, and a sample pass trough. HEPA filters and air pressure differential increase the level of containment, which allows AFC to handle compounds with an OEL as low as 0.1 µg/m3.

Fred D. Gibson, Jr and Jane L. Williams, representatives from the board of directors of parent company American Pacific Corporation, attended the official inauguration ceremony.
