Italy's Arcotronics Technologies, based in the Bologna area, announced plans at Pharmintech to expand its business opportunities in primary and secondary packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.


Italy's Arcotronics Technologies, based in the Bologna area, announced plans at Pharmintech to expand its business opportunities in primary and secondary packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.

A dedicated r&d team has been gathered to the for the five-year industrial plan, which aims to develop a wide range of machines for aseptic filling of injectable solutions as well as equipment for solid dose packaging.

On the market currently, however is the firm's vertically operating PSF series of machines - designed to form and fill sachets with powder products, and hermetically thermo-seal them on four sides.

Sachets can then be bulk collected in a box or conveyed, by a proper transport system, to the downstream cartoning machine.

The machine's balcony design construction is compliant to cGMP norms and all the company's products and components are made of stainless steel AISI 316L with Ra ranging from 0.6 to 0.8.
