The Qiagen MagAttract 96 miniprep system used on the BioRobot 8000 provides cost-effective plasmid DNA purification for high-throughput projects such as genome sequencing, the company claims.

MagAttract technology combines the efficiency of silica-based DNA purification with the convenience of fully automated magnetic bead separation. Qiagen's novel chemistries allow rapid cell lysis and direct purification of plasmid DNA without the time-consuming lysate clearing step.

Ready-to-use, walk away protocols are used to process up to 384 samples in parallel. The BioRobot 8000 high speed shaker system ensures efficient re-suspension of the magnetic beads in a variety of vessels, such as 96-well plates or square-well blocks.
