Avecia and Sigma-Aldrich have extended their catalysis technology partnership with agreement to commercialise Avecia's new range of QuadraPure metal scavenging resins.


Avecia and Sigma-Aldrich have extended their catalysis technology partnership with agreement to commercialise Avecia's new range of QuadraPure metal scavenging resins.

From early 2005, Sigma-Aldrich will add worldwide distribution of the QuadraPure product range to current availability of Pd EnCat encapsulated palladium catalysts.

Designed to remove a wide range of heavy and precious metals in batch or continuous processing, the initial QuadraPure family offers three macroporous and three microporous products. The lead product is QuadraPure TU, a microporous resin bead with thiourea functionality. It has proved an efficient scavenger of palladium, with wide application, no product interference, easy handling and good filtration and flow-through properties.
