AZ drops case against Genpharm

AstraZeneca has dropped its court case against Canadian generics producer Genpharm over its attempts to launch a generic version of omeprazole (Losec). The court ordered the withdrawal of proceedings after Genpharm's application for regulatory approval of the product, which it planned to sell in capsule form, was rejected last October.
