Big performance in a small package

Sato UK has launched a small, high-speed label printing system called the CT 400.

Weighing just 3kg and measuring 165mm high, 198mm wide and 230mm deep, it achieves a performance equal to that of much larger machines, according to the company.

Labels and tags up to 104mm wide and 356mm long can be printed by direct thermal or thermal transfer processes. Two versions of the CT 400 are available-203dpi and 305dpi.

The high-speed RISC processor enables complex variable data labels to be processes fast. The machine comes with a high-speed bi-directional IEEE-1284 parallel interface, an RS232 serial port and both USB and Ethernet ports as options. The print speed is selectable from 50mm/s to 150mm/s.
