BOC Thame gets personal

In the UK, personalised vehicle registration plates are big business. They can cost a small fortune, attract a certain amount of attention and say something about the owner. For years the numberplate OXY 1 was left out in the cold, neglected and unrecognised - and used to identify a tanker hauling, of all things, nitrogen.

But now, thanks to an eagle-eyed member of staff, OXY1 has been restored to its rightful place - gracing a liquid oxygen tanker at BOC Thame, near Oxford.
