UK-based Kemutec Group has launched a series of hygienic pre-breaker/coarse grinding KEK Kibblers suitable for the pharmaceutical industry.


UK-based Kemutec Group has launched a series of hygienic pre-breaker/coarse grinding KEK Kibblers suitable for the pharmaceutical industry.

The shaft has been cantilevered to eliminate one set of seals and bearing, which reduces the complexity of the end access door and thus improves hygiene and cleaning.

Size reduction takes place through a combination of impact, crushing, cutting and abrasion as the product is swept against the contoured grinding screen by a slow speed, heavy duty beater. The KEK kibbler pre-breaker mills are designed to reduce large lumps, measuring up to 150mm, down to 2-3mm in preparation for further processing.
