Capsule filler offers way to automation

A capsule filling machine that is said to be particularly suitable for manufacturers moving from semi to fully automatic production has been introduced by UK-based Sussex & Berkshire Machinery, the UK agent for Indian pharmaceutical machinery manufacturer PAM.

Capable of speeds of up to 40,000 capsules an hour, the AF 40T uses multistage tamping to compact powders prior to loading. It can also handle pellets, partial filling and tablet filling into capsules. The machine can be supplied to comply with 21 CFR Part 11 and with a complete validation package.
