Cellular Origins has initiated a partnership with supplier of automated fill-finish equipment, 3P innovation.
The cell and gene therapy manufacturing company will now integrate 3P’s cryovial filling platform, cryoFIL into its Constellation robotic system.
This will allow the robot to fill cryovials automatically in a sterile environment.
3P’s cryoFIL platform can streamline the cell and gene therapy (CGT) manufacturing process, while offering closed loop filling and 100% weight verification of all product yields.
The technological integration will facilitate the automation of filling processes involving vials and other open format containers, which aims to enhance the efficiency of their production.
The integration of cryoFIL will reduce the requirement for manual — and sometimes challenging — process steps in the cell and gene therapy manufacturing procedure.
This will reduce the time and labour investment of CGT production, while also potentially lowering costs.
