Checkweigher built for accuracy

Thermo Goring Kerr has introduced an automatic inline pharmaceutical checkweigher that can weigh small items down to 2g in weight with an accuracy of ±50mg.

The RX9000 is suitable for use with cartons, plastic and glass bottles, blisterpacks, pouches and small aerosols. Its high degree of accuracy is attributed to its short weigh table, which is in a completely enclosed, draught-free area to isolate it from any outside interference, and integrally mounted drive motors. It operates using a slack band system, which allows low weights to be processed at speeds of up to 350 packs/minute.

Product weights are classified into five zones with statistical display of average weight, standard devia-tion, counts and total weight for each zone. A standard library of set-up parameters is incorporated for up to 100 products, with a further 50 optional product increments available up to a maximum of 400.
