Chemspec India will host 200 companies

Published: 1-Feb-2005

Chemspec India, India's first international exhibition on fine and specialty chemicals to unite both domestic and international exhibitors, will open for visitors on February 23-24 at the HITEX exhibition centre in Hyderabad.

More than 200 companies from India, China, Europe and the US will participate in the event.

'The support for ChemSpec India has been far greater than we ever anticipated. Two halls are completely sold out and we are expecting more than 3,000 visitors over the course of two days, including a significant number from abroad,' said John Whitaker, publishing and exhibitions director at DMG World Media (UK).

About 150 companies from India, representing sectors including organic and fine chemicals, APIs, pharmaceutical intermediates, catalysts and enzymes, will display their latest products and services. Some of the largest Indian players, including Dr Reddy's, will be present. There will also be two Chinese pavilions.

'Indian companies will be looking to boost their outsourcing prospects. India is already a well-recognised supplier into the global drugs, pharmaceuticals and agrochemical industries and ChemSpec India offers many of these companies a significant opportunity to showcase their capabilities to a global audience,' said Ravi Raghavan, editor of co-sponsors Chemical Weekly.
