Christopher Klumph has joined the Charkit Chemical Company of Norwalk, a subsidiary of LBB Specialties, in an operational and business development role.
Klumph was most recently VP of Business Development at ChayseChem, a privately held distributor whose assets were acquired by Charkit earlier this month.
Klumph will now operate the ChayseChem business under the Charkit umbrella.
Jay Lang, Executive VP, Charkit Chemical Company said: “Chris will be focusing much of his time on the agrochemical and pharmaceutical markets, and he will also be responsible for identifying additional potential manufacturing partners that can further enhance Charkit’s strength and growth.”
Klumph has an extensive commercial background, having worked in a variety of organisations in sales, marketing, business development and corporate purchasing roles.
Before joining ChayseChem, he was at Novasep, a French-based contract manufacturing organisation (CMO), where he served in a Senior Director Business Development capacity.
Earlier in his career, Klumph worked in corporate purchasing at Troy Corporation and ISP, a company involved with butanediol and derivatives for various markets, industrial biocides, elastomers, and other specialty chemicals.
